Our Story

We started with a simple question: why do games suck so bad these days? The answer is obvious. Most large gaming companies don't care about gamers, they care about:

  • Overpromising and underdelivering.
  • Fleecing gamers for every penny they have.
  • Treating the gamers are the problem.

So what can we do about it? As gamers, we simply stopped buying and playing most of the modern slop that's out there. We dug into the tech behind games, and spent time learning how to make one. We had some internal failures, but some great learnings along the way. Then, we spent over 3 years obsessing over how to make Topless Tower come to life. We think we nailed it and we hope you'll feel the same.

We're just two guys working normal jobs who scrounged together spare time and created our first game! If we can bring a smile and a bit of fun and joy to just one person out there, we'll have accomplished what we set off to do.

So in short, here are our guiding principles:

  • Fun first. Profit second.
  • Nostalgia as inspiration.
  • If it sucks, it's our fault.

The duo

?

Joseph Ferrara

Founder / Lead Developer / Creative Genius

Being the leader is challenging, especially when you have to manage Neil. In the end it's worth it because he makes banger music. I'm not just saying that. He's a hit-making machine.

?

Neil Tobey

Co-Founder / Musician / Creative Genius' Apprentice

Neil is a simple man, with simple questions. Does it sound good? Does it work well in the scene/game? Is Joe adding bugs in the game to just mess with me? Is he even working on the game or did he quit again? These are definitely important questions.

Our philosophy

Fun first

If it's not fun in the first seconds, nothing else matters. Gameplay drives every decision.

Respect the player

No predatory monetization. No dark patterns. If you buy our game, you own the whole experience.

Polish, then Ship

We want to ship a game that's ready to go, not something that needs 500 more iterations before it's "done". didn't need patches, did it?
